What's new

This page lists what has changed in Diagnify since the old guide was written. Checked on 03/10/2026 against an inventory of 1,347 functions: 522 new features, 38 changed features, and a short list of retirements.

New (test site)

Items marked (test site) are switched on at the test site first. They may not be on your clinic's site yet. Everything else listed here is live.

New

Agent D

  • Agent D command bus — 251 acts across the whole practice, each at one of the four safety levels (read, draft, write, you-only). See Safety and Confirm.
  • How Agent D works — the main agent, its ten helpers, and how a request flows to one Confirm card.
  • Fast slash commands — /script, /labs, /refer, /bill, /plan and /recall draft straight from the chat. (test site)
  • Case card — a short summary of the pinned patient at the top of the chat.
  • Prepare this visit — helper agents check the whole chart (care gaps, preventive health, investigations, billing) and propose one batch Confirm card.
  • Record in file (doctor facts) — state a fact in chat (a blood pressure, a weight, an allergy) and get a Record in file card instead of a form.
  • Record in file (patient reported) — patient answers and uploads arrive as a Record in file card in their chart. (test site)
  • Notes and co-sign — an Agent D activity note under the consult note, with one-press Co-sign or Edit before co-sign. (test site)
  • Deep evidence with paper citations — verified journal citations with fixed IDs like [E12]; licensed source names are never shown. (test site)
  • Do today's jobs — the Action ledger runs today's due jobs (up to 20) and batches the drafts on one Confirm card. (test site)
  • Patient request links — a secure one-time SMS link that collects a missing fact or a questionnaire from the patient. Send is yours. (test site)
  • /cert — finds a certificate or legal form by name and fills it from your notes for Confirm. (test site)
  • /compact — switches the work-up cards between compact and full density.

Results inbox

  • File the new results — one flow that matches incoming results to patients (two strong identifiers) and drafts the filing cards. (test site)
  • Tracker wake-ups — Agent D is woken by new lab results, unmatched imports, patient messages and patient answers, and stages drafts in Waiting on you. (test site)
  • Background tracker — an always-on monitor that watches patient home readings (blood pressure, pulse, oxygen, weight, glucose) against doctor targets. (test site)

See the Results overview.

Patients

  • Medicare card check (OPV) — the card number and IRN are verified against Services Australia in real time, with a one-press Use new card number? updater.
  • DVA entitlement check — a gold-card style badge on the record header: checked, not checked, or not eligible, with what to fix.
  • Patient request links — as above; see Patients overview.

Financials

  • Tyro terminal and health fund claiming — card payments and digital private health insurance claims from the invoice drawer, with refunds. See the Financials overview.
  • Treating doctor on invoices — invoices now record and freeze the treating doctor, and the reports follow that attribution.

Consult and scripts

  • eScript with Parchment — electronic script tokens straight from the prescription drawer. (test site) See the Consult overview.

Patient app

  • The mobile app — patients sign in, fill questionnaire links, upload files and photos, and join telehealth video calls. See the Patient app overview.

Timeline

  • Discard empty visit — remove an empty visit row after checking name, date of birth and start time. Nothing is wiped; the removal is audited. See the Timeline overview.

Everywhere

  • Tools overlay on small screens — a Tools button brings up the clinical rails on screens narrower than 761 pixels.

Changed

What How it works now
Consult chat column The old middle chat column is folded away. Agent D lives in the left rail and is the only chat.
/md and /treat Gone. Ask Agent D in plain words instead.
Billing (/bill) Agent D checks the note against MBS rules, drafts the item lines, and waits for your Confirm. It no longer raises an invoice straight from a command.
/plan All six visit documents (pathology, imaging, script, handout, referral, note) come on one Confirm card, then the billing drawer opens.
/script Takes full plain-language regimens, checks PBS authority codes, and runs the allergy gate before the card.
Scribe The Scribe button sits at the top of the Consult panel, not on the right rail. The note shows the Agent D activity block with co-sign.
Work-up cards Red flags, history, exam, bloods and imaging run in the consult column, with /compact for density.
Patient record The old tab bar is replaced by an 11-part Overview wheel and one scrolling record.
Patient reports Moved from Financials to the Patients screen (when no chart is open).
Treatment guidelines One treatment engine writes a 14-section plan, replacing the old seven-step pipeline screens.
Evidence and citations Publisher names are never shown. Citations use fixed IDs (like [E12]) and public journal details.
Medicare details Typed card numbers are replaced by the live online check (OPV), including overseas-visitor alerts.
Date of birth entry Type the year directly; the decade-jump wheels are gone.
Patient header banner Narrower — name, date of birth, age, sex, MRN and allergies. The lists live in the record and the rail.

Retired

These were removed on purpose:

  • ECG image upload — removed as a clinical-image compliance risk. There is no ECG upload route any more.
  • Note snippet buttons (Allergies, Safety-Net, Follow-Up) — type the words, or tell Agent D; it drafts them into the note and handout.
  • Ticking or commenting on a single differential reason — removed to declutter the differential cards.
  • Visit items list under the note — replaced by the action cards and the Agent D activity block.
  • Team link and practice name on the title bar — the practice details sit under Help instead.
  • Old sidebar navigation links — Patients, Calendar, Worklist and Settings moved to the title-bar tabs.
  • Monitoring panel on the record — recalls are managed in the Recall drawer.
  • Rail metric counters (Safety, Today, Billing, Admin) — removed to give the chat room.
  • Live clock on the bookings board — the time now sits in the status bar.
  • Reference row under a result band — the range is part of the readout band itself.

A few other small removals are still being checked. If something you used seems to be gone, say so to your practice contact — it may come back.
