Safety and Confirm

Diagnify is built around one rule: nothing is sent, filed, signed or charged without the doctor's own Confirm. Agent D and the tools around it can read, draft and prepare — the last press is yours. This page explains the four act levels, what "Confirm" means, the kill switch, patient links, and the audit log.

The four act levels

Every act in Diagnify — by you or by Agent D — sits at one of four levels:

Level What it means Examples
Read Looks something up. Changes nothing. Free slots in the diary, the day's lists, a patient brief.
Draft Prepares a document or a change. Files nothing. A script or referral draft, a work-up summary, a draft invoice line.
Write Changes the record. Needs your Confirm card first. Book or cancel an appointment, start a consult, save a letterhead.
You-only Only you, inside the tool itself. Agent D can prepare it, never do it. Send a document or message, sign a script, charge a card, take a payment, finalise a record, send a patient a text.

Drafts say so. The footer of a script, request or letter states it is a draft until signed. Write the script saves the script on the visit — it does not send it to a pharmacy.

What "Confirm" means

Before a send, a charge, a booking, a call or a file, a Confirm card shows you exactly what will happen and asks you to press go or No.

  • No drops the proposed act. Nothing happens.
  • One card for a batch. Several jobs of the same kind share one Confirm card — a whole plan of documents comes on a single card, so you review it in one place.
  • Fast Confirm. A short typed order (like /labs with a short request) can show the card straight away.
  • The allergy gate. If a script clashes with a recorded allergy, the go button stays off until you record an override and a reason. If the allergy list could not be read, a banner tells you.
  • Notes are checked too. A consult note cannot be signed until I have reviewed this note is ticked.
  • Autosave is not a send. Your note and reasons save as you type. Autosave never messages the patient.

The kill switch

Your practice has a kill switch for Agent D. When it is on, every write and you-only act is refused — whatever its card says. Reading and drafting keep working, so Agent D can still answer questions and prepare drafts.

Ask whoever manages your clinic settings if it needs to be on or off. When a you-only act is refused, Agent D tells you what was about to happen and stops.

A patient request link is a secure one-time link you send by SMS so a patient can give you a missing fact — a Medicare card, a questionnaire, or a file or photo upload.

Agent D can propose the link, and it can draft the patient's reply once the answers come back. But the Send press is yours. A patient message a tool has written stays on screen until you press Send, and Tell the patient always shows you the message before it goes. When a patient answers, their facts arrive as a Record in file card — nothing is filed until you tick the facts and Confirm.

Audit notes

Everything is recorded. The audit log (Settings → Audit log) is a record of who did what, and it cannot be edited.

  • Every act is logged — including acts that were refused or failed. The outcome filter lets you see everything, refused only, failed only, or successful only.
  • The log can be exported (up to 1,000 events as a file). The export itself is written into the log.
  • A pill on the page says the log has not been changed; a filtered view cannot be checked that way.
  • Agent D's chart reads are logged too. When Agent D opens the audit view, it can only ask for a summary — the log says plainly that nothing was compiled, saved or sent.

Access to the audit log is a permission your practice grants in Settings → Team.

  • How Agent D works — the assistant, its helpers, and the path to one Confirm card.
  • Settings — where the audit log and team access live.
  • Glossary — draft, you-only, kill switch and other terms.
