Billing, debtors and tax
What it does
A family of reports about what was billed: by item number, bulk-billed or private, who owes money, what was voided, what was never billed, and a GST review.
When to use it
Use these reports for billing checks, chasing debtors, and tax time.
Step by step
-
Press Billing by MBS item number. The report opens with its dates. Press Run report when you want the rows.

-
Press Bulk-billed vs privately billed for the bulk-billing rate by day or by the person who raised the account.

-
Press Aged outstanding accounts to see who owes money, aged from the issue date.

-
Press GST review: charges that are not MBS services to find lines with no item number.

Also on this screen:
- Practitioner billing summary — what each practitioner billed and what has come in. An optional fee-split percent adds the shares.
- Voided invoices and adjustments — cancelled accounts, what they were worth, what was already paid, and who cancelled them.
- Attendances with nothing billed — someone was marked arrived and seen, and no account was raised that day.
- Billing and takings reports can split by Medicare, DVA White and Gold card, and Private.
- On the test site, a DVA fee difference calculation shows the gap between DVA and standard schedules. New (test site)
What Agent D can do
- Run any of these reports for a period and read the rows back to you.
- Export the same run as a CSV file.
Safety (what needs your Confirm)
- These reports only read. Nothing is claimed or changed.
- The item report shows the benefit on the invoice beside the published schedule benefit. It does not calculate a rebate for you.
- The GST review lists lines for a person to review. It does not invent a GST amount.
Common questions
What does "aged" mean? How long since the invoice was issued: current, 31–60, 61–90, or 90+ days. Drafts and voids are left out.
Can the report split DVA from Medicare? Yes. The DVA split shows Medicare, DVA White and Gold card, and Private as their own groups.
What is the GST review for? It finds charges with no MBS item, so you can check whether GST applies. It does not decide for you.
