Guidelines on the chart
What it does
When this feature is on, the Guidelines tab in the patient's Overview lists guidance already on file for that patient. A row may show a title, publisher, year and why it matches the chart. The list depends on the chart and the guidance your practice has available.
When to use it
Use it to read the guidance behind a patient's review. Check the chart and use your own clinical judgement.
Step by step
- Open the patient's record and check their name and date of birth.
- Select Overview, then Guidelines in the domain panel beside the wheel.
- Read the list. No guidelines on file for this record means no matching rows were returned; it does not mean the patient needs no care.
- To draft a summary, open Guideline from the left navigation. Open Guidelines for this patient, then find Write summary beside a condition. Review the draft before using it.
Also on this screen
- Guidelines tab: Reads the guidance list on the chart.
- Guidelines for this patient: The same list can be opened on the Guideline screen.
- Write summary: On the Guideline screen beside a condition, when available. It is not a button on the chart's Guidelines tab.
What Agent D can do
Agent D can use available chart facts and clinical guidance to prepare an answer or a draft. The guidance list itself is read-only.
Safety (what needs your Confirm)
Reading this list changes nothing. A generated plan is a draft. Check its sources, patient facts and content; nothing is sent or filed without the doctor's own Confirm.
Common questions
Why is the Guidelines tab missing? The feature may be off for your site. Ask your practice manager to check access and availability.
Can I write a summary from this tab? Open the separate Guideline screen and expand Guidelines for this patient to find that control.
Does an empty list mean there are no care gaps? No. Check the patient record and the other review panels.
