Work-up in the column
What it does
Diagnostic work-ups can be conducted interactively inside the Agent D column. Typing /workup (or tapping the Start work-up chip) opens interactive step cards (red flags, history, physical examination, diagnostic tests) directly in the sidebar dock. Typing /compact toggles compact density mode to fit more clinical findings on screen.
Also on this screen
- Folded work-up answer (AD-048): A long clinical answer can fold open.
- Start work-up chip (AD-066): When the words look like a case, a chip starts the step cards in this column.
- Work-up dock (AD-067): The step cards sit in the Agent D column.
- Work-up done hand-back (AD-068): When the cards finish, Agent D is asked to name one idea and one ticked finding. It must not send or bill.
- /workup (AD-094): Starts the step cards in this column.
- /compact (AD-095): Switches short or full findings in the work-up.
- Agent D differential (AD-125): A shadow mode writes a differential beside the old one. The drawer you see is still the old one.
- Full work-up writer and treatment planner actions (R025): Two Agent D actions: stream a full work-up, and run the treatment planner.
When to use it
Use Work-up when evaluating complex, ambiguous, or multi-system clinical presentations that benefit from structured diagnostic support.
Step by step
- Type /workup and stop.

- Type /compact and stop.

What Agent D can do
Agent D guides you through clinical decision steps, highlights red flag symptoms, and suggests differential possibilities. It cannot order tests or bill without confirmation.
Safety (what needs your Confirm)
Work-up cards suggest clinical possibilities and investigations. When the work-up finishes, Agent D presents findings for doctor review; it never submits orders or bills automatically.
Common questions
What does /compact do?
Typing /compact toggles compact finding labels on or off, allowing you to view more clinical items without excessive scrolling.
Can I fold long work-up answers?
Yes. Detailed clinical explanations and differential reasoning cards can be collapsed or expanded as needed.
Does the work-up replace my clinical judgement?
No. Diagnostic work-ups provide structured guidance based on clinical guidelines; the treating doctor makes all final diagnostic decisions.
