The typing box

What it does

The composer is the text entry box at the bottom of the Agent D column. You can type plain-English questions, enter slash commands (starting with /), dictate notes using the microphone, or attach files (such as PDF, Word, text, or CSV) for Agent D to analyse. Live progress indicators show working steps and tool executions in real time.

  • Typing box (AD-044): Where you tell Agent D what to do. Slash opens commands.
  • Send (AD-045): Sends the typed request.
  • Working line (AD-046): Shows a spinner and Working… while a reply is coming.
  • Step lines (AD-047): Shows each tool step as it runs, then a tick or a cross.
  • Dictate into the box (AD-061): The small mic types into the box. It does not place a call.
  • Talk to your assistant (AD-062): Opens a voice panel that speaks and listens.
  • Attach a file (AD-063): The plus button picks a PDF, Word, text, or CSV when upload is on. Otherwise it uses the consult file button.
  • Attachment chips (AD-064): Shows each file and a remove cross.

When to use it

Use the composer whenever you want to ask clinical questions, draft documentation, dictate notes, or issue commands to Agent D.

What Agent D can do

Agent D interprets clinical inquiries, parses uploaded files, formats draft letters, and displays each step as it works. It cannot file documents or execute orders without clinician confirmation.

Safety (what needs your Confirm)

Typing or dictating into the composer only creates drafts. Attaching a file reads facts for your review; it does not alter the patient record until you tick and confirm.

Common questions

What does the microphone icon do?

The small microphone allows you to dictate text directly into the typing box. It does not initiate a telephone call.

What file types can I attach?

You can attach PDF, Word, text, and CSV files for Agent D to read and extract clinical facts.

How do I know if Agent D is working on my request?

A spinner and Working… status line appear, followed by checkmarks next to each completed tool step.
