Common questions
Short answers to the questions doctors and receptionists ask most. Words in bold are explained in the Glossary.
About Agent D
Can Agent D send anything without me? No. Sending, signing, charging, paying and finalising are you-only acts. Agent D can prepare them, but the press is yours, inside the tool itself.
What exactly does Confirm mean? A Confirm card shows what will happen and asks you to press go or No. No drops the whole proposal. Several jobs of the same kind share one card, so a whole plan of documents is reviewed in one place. See Safety and Confirm.
I pressed No by mistake. Is the work lost? No only drops the proposal — nothing was sent. Ask Agent D again, or edit the draft yourself. If you already pressed go, the act has happened; some screens offer their own reverse action (like cancelling a booking), and everything is recorded in the audit log.
Where did the middle chat column go?
It is folded away. Agent D now lives in the left rail and is the only chat. Ask it in plain words — the old /md and /treat commands are retired.
Why is the go button on my script card switched off? The allergy gate. The medicine clashes with a recorded allergy, or the allergy list could not be read. Record an override and a reason to switch it back on.
What is Waiting on you? Agent D's tray of drafts that need your Confirm, in four groups: Safety, Today, Billing, Admin. Nothing in the tray has been sent.
What does Co-sign do? It finalises the Agent D activity note into the record. Edit before co-sign changes it first and creates a new draft version.
Are the guideline citations real papers?
Yes. Deep-evidence mode shows verified citations from public medical journals, each with a fixed ID like [E12]. Licensed medicine-information sources are used behind the scenes but never named.
Can I turn Agent D off? Your practice has a kill switch that refuses every write and you-only act, whatever its card says. Reading and drafting keep working. Ask whoever manages your clinic settings.
Patients and front desk
Can front-desk staff use Agent D? Yes — many acts are for doctors and staff both. Pages on this site that are mainly for staff carry a For staff label, and each staff member's access is set under Settings → Team.
How do I get a patient's Medicare card checked? It happens live. The record header checks the card number and IRN against Services Australia (OPV) and offers Use new card number? when a new card is given. DVA entitlement is checked the same way.
How do I send a questionnaire or form to a patient? Send Intake texts the pre-visit questions, or ask Agent D for a patient request link for one missing fact (a card number, a questionnaire, an upload). The link is secure and one-time. Send is yours.
A patient says they never got our text. Reminder and recall texts go out once an hour, not the second you press. Texts are refused if the number has said stop, or outside 8am–8pm on weekdays and 9am–5pm on Saturdays — an urgent recall is the one purpose that may send at any hour. Check the message went from the patient's record, and that the mobile number is current.
How do I mark that a patient arrived, or did not attend? Use the attendance marks on the booking, on the day board. A mark can be cleared again later.
Where are the patient reports? On the Patients screen, when no chart is open. They used to be in Financials.
A patient wants their results on their phone. Results notices go to the patient after your Confirm — by SMS, the patient app inbox or email, whichever their record allows. Tell the patient always shows you the message first.
About this guide
Which features are only on the test site? Any page or item marked New (test site). New features run on the test site behind a switch first, so they may not be on your clinic's site yet. See What's new.
Does this guide give clinical advice? No. The guide explains how the tools work. Clinical decisions stay with the treating doctor.
Can I read this help site on a phone? Yes — the site is phone friendly. On a phone, open the menu at the top left to see the sections. The console itself shows a Tools button on narrow screens to reach the clinical rails.
A step here does not match my screen. The guides are still being checked, and some features differ between the test site and your clinic's site. Check What's new first, then use Search for the screen you are on. Inside the app, the ? (Help) starts the guided tour, and many buttons show a tip when you hover over them.
